Clone storefronts
A clone storefront is a full, working copy of a brand's online shop, from logo and photography to product names and checkout, published on a domain the brand does not own. The most damaging copy there is, because it doesn't look like a copy. Your logo, your photography, your product names, your copy, all lifted wholesale onto a domain one letter away from yours, usually with a 40–70% discount banner to close the sale before anyone thinks twice.
The signals that make a match.
Scrapers copy the file, not just the picture. A clone often serves your exact asset names, and the shared filename stays visible in its image URLs. It is a tell you can check by eye; the scanner does not compare image files.
“© 2026 <your brand>. All rights reserved.” on a site you have never owned is the clearest claim of ownership a platform can be shown.
In one live scan a fleece sweater was listed at $17,700: an automated import that multiplied the price by a hundred and was never proofread.
Your store is on Shopify. The copy is on a budget host in another jurisdiction, often in a block that also serves unrelated scam shops.
The record, and the decision.
Each confirmed match comes with the captured storefront, the IP address it resolved to, and lookup links for its registrar and host. You decide whether and where to report it.
Nothing goes out at all
RIHTAN sends nothing on your behalf. Every match in this category sits in your record for your review; mark it reviewed, doubtful or authorized and the scanner remembers. A seller you mark as authorized is never raised again.
Asked before the first scan.
How do I know if my store has been cloned?
The tells we see most: your exact image filenames served from a stranger's domain, a copyright line in your name on a site you never owned, and deep-discount banners on your catalog. A free first scan finds the sites themselves, so you don't have to go looking.
What do I get when a clone store is found?
The captured storefront (full-page capture, timestamp, live URL), the IP address it resolved to, and lookup links for its registrar and host. RIHTAN does not send reports on your behalf and does not decide whether a match is unlawful; you review the record and choose what to do with it.
How fast will it come down?
We don't promise a removal date, because the platform's review queue isn't ours to control, and RIHTAN does not file anything for you. What we control is our own work: new matches surface within 24 hours of a scan, with the capture attached so you have what you need to act.
Rarely just one.
